Mr. Archer is a co-founder of the business and as President, Chief Executive Officer and a director, he is responsible for the development of the strategic direction Great Panther Silver and for its day to day operations. Mr. Archer has more than 30 years’ experience working for mining companies throughout North America, including Newmont Exploration of Canada Ltd., Rio Algom Exploration Inc., Placer Dome Canada Ltd. and Noranda Exploration Inc. He also served as President of Consolidated Magna Ventures Ltd.
Presently, he also serves as President, Chief Executive Officer and a director of Cangold Limited, and is a non-executive director of Altair Ventures Incorporated, both publicly listed companies on the TSX Venture Exchange.
Mr. Zadra joined Great Panther in September 2011 and has responsibility for corporate finance, including financial reporting, planning & forecasting, taxation, and treasury. Mr. Zadra is a Chartered Accountant and has over 15 years of experience in senior corporate finance roles with significant experience in the areas of financial reporting, taxation, strategic planning, capital markets, M&A and corporate governance.
Prior to joining Great Panther, Mr. Zadra served over three years as Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary of DDS Wireless International Inc. (DD: TSX). Prior to DDS he was Vice President of Finance, North America, at Sophos, (2003-2008) a leading global information technology security company with a offices in 19 countries. Mr. Zadra has also held senior roles at ActiveState Corporation, Canaccord Capital and Deloitte, and has served as a director for several venture stage public companies.
Mr. Zadra holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from Queen's University and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University of British Columbia.
Mr. Brown is a seasoned professional with more than 30 years experience successfully operating and developing mines both in Canada and internationally, from operating small gold mines in Ontario and Venezuela to being Managing Director of Tara Mines Ltd in Ireland, where he was responsible for one of the world's largest underground zinc mines.
Prior joining Great Panther he was the Project Manager for Newgold Inc. during its underground exploration and development program, leading to the completion of a positive feasibility study.
Mr. Brown graduated from Nottingham University, U.K. with an honours degree in Mining Engineering.
Mr. Brown has been our Vice President of Exploration since April 30, 2004. He is responsible for overseeing all exploration activities undertaken by our Company, and has particular experience in the immediate area of our Company's projects in the Sierra Madre Region of Mexico.
Mr. Brown is a Professional Engineer with a degree in Engineering Geology from Queen's University. His 30 years of experience in the mining industry includes 15 years with Lac Minerals in Canada, culminating in the position of Exploration Manager. For more than 13 years, he held senior management positions in the junior sector, working on projects throughout the Americas, Eastern Europe and Indonesia, primarily in gold and silver exploration.
Ms. Bennetto was appointed Vice President, Corporate Communications in April, 2012. In this capacity, she will lead the Company's Corporate Communications function, developing and implementing external and internal strategies that will enhance Great Panther's strategic vision of becoming a profitable mid-tier primary silver producer. Ms. Bennetto has held senior roles with several publically traded companies with a focus on international mining and resource assets, including Mexico, and brings more than 18 years of experience in capital markets and investor relations expertise to Great Panther Silver Limited.
Ms. Bennetto has sound expertise participating in and communicating initial public offerings, subsequent financings, mergers and acquisitions, restructurings and recapitalizations. She currently serves on the Board of the Canadian Investor Relations Institute and is Chairman of the Public Relations Advisory Committee for Mount Royal University. Ms. Bennetto holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and has completed the Canadian Securities Course.
Mr. Asher joined Great Panther in November 2011 and is responsible for managing all information systems related matters for the company. Mr. Asher is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and has over 20 years of IT and business management experience in both the public and private sectors.
Prior to joining Great Panther Silver, Mr. Asher managed various IT, finance and M&A consulting projects for numerous mining industry companies including Electrum Strategic Resources, Behre Dolbear Capital, Hecla Mining Company and FLSmidth Minerals. From 1999 - 2009, Mr. Asher served in several roles at Coeur d'Alene Mines Corporation, including Director of Corporate Development and Enterprise Systems Manager.
Mr. Asher holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Washington and a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems from Gonzaga University.
Ing. Ramirez is a Mexican mining engineer with more than 30 years of mining experience. A graduate from the University of Guanajuato, he took the role of Mine Manager at our Topia Mine in early 2006, and brings a wealth of experience to our Company. Prior to joining us, he worked for Plata Panamerica S.A., Real del Monte y Pachua, S.A., Baztan del Cobre, S.A., Compañía Baramin S.A., and Minera La Calentan, among which he served as Mine Superintendent and Mine Manager.
