BOARD OF DIRECTORS & MANAGEMENT

 
Kaare G. Foy, B.Ec.
Position: Executive Chairman

As our Executive Chairman and a director, Mr. Foy is responsible for the financial and corporate management and supervision of the affairs and business of our Company and our subsidiaries.

Following graduation from Monash University in Australia, Mr. Foy became an Associate of the Australian Society of Accountants and a Member of the Australian Institute of Directors. In 1995, he emigrated to reside permanently in Canada. For most of his career, he has specialized in company "turnarounds," and has more than 30-years experience serving on the boards of publicly listed companies in Australia , Canada and the United Kingdom, including Loscam Materials Handling Limited in Australia, and Greenchip Investments PLC in the United Kingdom.

Mr. Foy is also Executive Chairman and a director of Cangold Limited, the President of Oceanic Management Limited and a director of Golden Prospect Precious Metals Limited, an AIM-listed company.

 
Robert A. Archer, P.Geo.
Position: Chief Executive Officer & President

As our President, Chief Executive Officer and a director, Mr. Archer is responsible for the day-to-day operations of our Company and for the development of our strategic direction. Also, as the President of our Mexican subsidiary, he is responsible for the management and supervision of its affairs and business in Mexico.

Mr. Archer has more than 27-years experience working for mining companies throughout North America, namely Newmont Exploration of Canada Ltd., Rio Algom Exploration Inc., Placer Dome Canada Ltd. and Noranda Exploration Inc. He also served as President of Consolidated Magna Ventures Ltd.

Mr. Archer is the President of R. A. Archer & Associates and Platoro Resource Corp. He also serves as President and Chief Executive Officer and is a director of Cangold Limited, a company publicly listed on the TSX Venture Exchange. He is also a non-executive director of Altair Ventures Incorporated, a company also publicly listed on the TSX Venture Exchange.

 
Malcolm A. Burne
Position: Director

Malcolm Burne has been a self-employed investment banker for more than 25 years. He has held directorship of many public companies in Canada, Australia, and Europe. Mr. Burne is currently a director of Jubilee Platinum plc, Golden Prospect Precious Metals Limited, Cangold Limited and Great Panther Silver Limited, all publicly listed companies in the natural resources sector.

 
John T. Kopcheff, B.Sc. (Hons)
Position: Director

Mr. Kopcheff has been a director of our Company since August 2001. As a non-executive director, Mr. Kopcheff is Chairman of our Compensation Committee, and a member of the Company's Audit Committee, and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.

He is Managing Director of Victoria Petroleum NL, an oil and gas company publicly listed on the main board of the Australian Stock Exchange and a non-executive director of Greenearth Energy Ltd, a geothermal exploration company also listed on the Australian Stock Exchange.

 
Martin Carsky, CA
Position: Director

Chairman of the Audit Committee, Martin Carsky is an experienced financial executive with extensive experience in capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, and corporate governance. He is the CEO of CON-SPACE Communications Ltd. a member of the Savox Group of Companies. In addition to Great Panther Silver, he is currently a director and the Chairman of the Audit Committee of Pacific Safety Products Inc., Amato Exploration Ltd., and Cangold Limited. Mr. Carsky holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, British Columbia and holds the designation Chartered Accountant.

 
CORPORATE SECRETARY

 
Wendy Ratcliffe, Dip. Tech. Fin. Mgt
Position: Corporate Secretary

Ms. Ratcliffe has been our Corporate Secretary since August 2001. She is responsible for making all necessary regulatory filings for our Company and our subsidiaries. Ms. Ratcliffe is also Corporate Secretary of Cangold Limited, a company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange.

 
MANAGEMENT

 
Raakel Iskanius
Position: Chief Financial Officer

Ms. Iskanius joined the Company in May 2007 as CFO and is responsible for all aspects of the Company's financial management, including treasury, financial reporting, analysis of operations, regulatory compliance and corporate governance.

Ms. Iskanius has more than 19 years of experience as a finance professional with the vast majority of her career spent in natural gas utility and multi-branch sectors. A Chartered Accountant, Ms. Iskanius has worked for companies across North America including Terasen Gas Inc., KPMG and The Loewen Group Inc.

Ms. Iskanius qualified as a Certified General Accountant in 1995 and received her Chartered Accountant designation in 1999.

 
Charles Brown
Position: Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Brown was appointed Chief Operating Officer in August 2007. He is a seasoned professional with more than 30 years experience successfully operating and developing mines both in Canada and internationally, from operating small gold mines in Ontario and Venezuela to being Managing Director of Tara Mines Ltd in Ireland, where he was responsible for one of the world's largest underground zinc mines.

Most recently he was the Project Manager for Newgold Inc. during its underground exploration and development program, leading to the completion of a positive feasibility study.

Mr. Brown graduated from Nottingham University, U.K. with an honours degree in Mining Engineering.

 
Robert Brown, P.Eng.
Position: Vice President, Exploration

Mr. Brown has been our Vice President of Exploration since April 30, 2004. He is responsible for overseeing all exploration activities undertaken by our Company, and has particular experience in the immediate area of our Company's projects in the Sierra Madre Region of Mexico.

Mr. Brown is a Professional Engineer with a degree in Engineering Geology from Queen's University. His 30 years of experience in the mining industry includes 15 years with Lac Minerals in Canada, culminating in the position of Exploration Manager. For more than 13 years, he held senior management positions in the junior sector, working on projects throughout the Americas, Eastern Europe and Indonesia, primarily in gold and silver exploration.

 
Ing. Francisco Ramos Sanchez
Position: Vice-President, Business Development

Ing. Francisco Ramos Sanchez was appointed as Vice President of Business Development in November 2007. In this capacity, Ing. Ramos will seek out new business opportunities for Great Panther Silver, and will continue to oversee various administrative aspects for the Company in Mexico. As one of the co-founders of the Company, and formerly Vice President of Operations, Ing. Ramos was instrumental in Great Panther's acquisition and start-up of the Guanajuato and Topia Mines as well as its San Antonio exploration project.

With more than 30-years of experience in the mining industry, Ing. Ramos is a Mexican mining engineer and metallurgist based in Queretaro, Mexico. He obtained a Master's Degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Guanajuato and has worked with senior mining companies such as Peñoles, Grupo México and Minera Autlan. He is also the general director of Minco Ingeniería y Construcciones de Queretaro, S. de R.L. de C.V.

 
Sergio Rios Martinez, MIM, MBA, B. Eco & B.BA
Position: Vice President of Corporate Relations

Mr. Sergio Rios was appointed as Vice President of Corporate Relations in July 2008 and is responsible of the Company's government and community relations and media communication in Mexico. He also acts as a representative of the Company in different mining committees such as the Mining Task Force, and the Mexican Chamber of Mines, and Mining Association of Mexico.

Before joining Great Panther Silver, Sergio Rios was involved in international trade, foreign investment projects, business development and government affairs, for more than 20 years. From 2000-2008 he was Senior Trade Commissioner of Mexico for Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest of USA, based in Vancouver, Canada and from 1998 to 2000, Senior Trade Commissioner of Mexico for Northern Europe and Mexico-USA relation, based in The Hague.

 
Ing. Carlos Castro Villalobos
Position: General Manager, Guanajuato Mine Complex

Ing. Carlos Castro Villalobos was appointed as General Manager of the Guanajuato Mine Complex in November 2007. He brings 30 years of solid mining experience to the Guanajuato Operation. Following graduation from the Guanajuato School of Mines, Carlos received an early introduction to the mines now owned by Great Panther Silver working two years in the Valenciana and San Ignacio Mines, both part of Great Panther's holdings. He subsequently spent two years with Peñoles, the world's largest silver producer, and a total of 17 years with Luismin (now owned by Goldcorp). While at Luismin, Carlos worked his way up to the position of General Manager of the Tayoltita Mine in Durango and was instrumental in increasing tonnage and grade at this flagship operation. He has a track record of increasing operating efficiencies, improving communication and accountability, and streamlining operations.

 
Ing. Javier Ramirez Vargas
Position: General Manager, Topia Mine

Ing. Ramirez is a Mexican mining engineer with more than 30 years of mining experience. A graduate from the University of Guanajuato, he took the role of Mine Manager at our Topia Mine in early 2006, and brings a wealth of experience to our Company. Prior to joining us, he worked for Plata Panamerica S.A., Real del Monte y Pachua, S.A., Baztan del Cobre, S.A., Compañía Baramin S.A., and Minera La Calentan, among which he served as Mine Superintendent and Mine Manager.
