The Plomo project is in NW Sonora state, Mexico. It is a gold project located along the trend of the Sonora-Mojave mega shear, a 1,000 km long, Laramide age, tectonic zone known for an abundance of low grade, open pittable, heap leach gold deposits. These deposits range from southwest Arizona (American Girl and Padre Madre in the Yuma mining district), south eastward into Sonora state with deposits such as Herradura, Noche Buena, and el Chanate.
The Plomo property consists of the Plomo and Plomo II mineral claims and total 4,279ha. The Plomo property is 100% owned by Great Panther through its wholly owned Mexican subsidiary Compania Mexicana Cangold.
